CHILDREN’S MINISTRY
It takes a mother to bear a child. A few months after the first service at ICCC, one parent attended the service and observed children playing at the back of the church. She gathered the children, gave them instruction and the Sunday School Ministry was born.
As a dedicate and highly qualified early childhood educator, she launched the ministry, building a strong foundation by providing and donating materials, researching and giving instruction to meet the needs of the children. Her service was not only to facilitating the instruction to the children, but it extended to guiding others interested in ministering to children. A firm foundation was build, and strong bricks continue to be added.
Despite the occurrence of a revolving door of membership at ICCC, the ministry has continued to grow. Activities include: praying, scripture reading, memorizing verses, workbook activities, drama, singing, creative art and crafts. Children with special talents are encouraged and guided to utilize their gifts to serve God.
We thank God and are humbled to observe the service of Sunday School Graduates. They serve in scripture reading during the main service. One is the sound and electronic technician, another is involved in photography and visual recording, and last but not least, one has graduated to teach in the Sunday school.
